This is a boilerplate privacy policy intended for the MVP launch. Aaron will refine this with a lawyer or a specialised template service before the v0.1.0 OSS release.
What data we collect
When you sign up for the hosted cloud product (app.netdexperts.com)
we collect:
- Account data: email address, hashed password, display name.
- Tenant data: organisation name, billing details (via Dodo Payments), team member emails.
- Usage data: board content, items, columns, agents you create. This is your data; we store it on your behalf and you can export or delete it at any time.
- Telemetry: anonymised page views, error reports (via PostHog + Sentry), and aggregated feature usage. No personal data is shared with these providers beyond an anonymised user ID.
When you self-host, we collect nothing. The self-hosted app talks to your own database; no telemetry is sent to us.
How we use it
- To deliver the product you signed up for.
- To send transactional emails (sign-up verification, password reset, billing notices). We don’t send marketing emails to verified accounts unless you opt in.
- To debug issues and improve the product, using aggregated telemetry.
We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with third parties for marketing purposes. Period.
Cookies + tracking
The marketing site (netdexperts.com) uses no third-party cookies.
We may add first-party analytics (PostHog) on a later release; if we
do, it will be clearly disclosed and the cookie banner will offer
opt-out.
The hosted app (app.netdexperts.com) uses cookies for authenticated
session management only — these are necessary for the product to work
and are first-party.
Sub-processors
When you use the hosted product, your data is processed by:
- Cloudflare — CDN, DNS, static hosting (Pages), edge Workers.
- Fly.io — API hosting (
api.netdexperts.com). - Neon — Postgres database hosting.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (sign-up, reset, invite).
- Dodo Payments — payment processing.
- PostHog — anonymised product analytics.
- Sentry — error tracking.
Each of these is contractually bound to act only on our instructions and not to use your data for their own purposes.
Your rights
If you’re in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct it if it’s wrong.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to processing for a specific purpose.
